My scripture for this season has been Romans 8:28 “All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord” It has become so alive in me and around me. Kirk Franklin put it this way, “flour by itself is nasty, butter by itself is nasty, nutmeg by itself is nasty…but together it’s good, you get cake” As a lover of God and lover of food, I’m sure God was intentional when He gave Kirk that word so I wouldn’t forget it.

My bestfriend told me to start back blogging a while ago.. I ignored it because of the million other things going on in my life. But tonight I was suddenly reminded of the name of my blog, “Star Ingredient”, and then I could not help but think of Romans 8:28. If you are no stranger to my blog, you know I highlight star ingredients in recipes and/or life. However, I know more than ever, that in full seasons of life there really is no one star ingredient. All ingredients are equally important ..

These revelations really don’t happen until God yells plot twist and shakes things up, but through it all you will be able to say God is good. I have realized that in this season things have changed, but at the end of the day I can’t say God isn’t good. I can’t say that He hasn’t showed up in so many areas of my life. Best of all, I’m wiser. I am this new version of myself that I wouldn’t change for the world.  It all worked together, It all continues to work together as seasons are changing.

God is everything. He gets called the Master Artist, the Master Carpenter, but don’t forget He is also the Master Chef. Whatever is going on in your life, good or bad, know that you need it for God to make something Great, so just LET the Master Chef do His thing.
