It is my mission to reconnect us to native and cultural ingredients that sustained generations before us – the foods which have undoubtedly contributed to our RESILIENCE However, today our resiliency is being threatened with the rise in chronic diseases and internal stressors. The evolution in the way we eat and access food has definitely contributed to this. I believe as a culture and society we have become so disconnected from food and foodways due to the influx of processed and fast foods (and a plethora of reasons – political and socioeconomic, which at times we have little control over). However, I don’t want to point fingers, I just I want to do something about it.

And to get there, sometimes we just have to go back to the basics. One Pantry Meals addresses those basic skills needed to empower any reader to “Make good with what they have!”
